Xero can be accessed from most internet enabled devices, including your iPhone or iPad. If your business is spread across a number of locations, this means you can all have access to the same data from all sites, at the same time (including at home, on holiday).
Xero had been well established for many years in New Zealand before coming to the UK in 2008, and it is now one of the leading online accounting services in the UK. Xero meets all the needs of a UK accounting business, including all the VAT schemes (standard, cash accounting, flat rate or annual).
The main dashboard (left) gives an overview of key business information – bank balances, money coming in and money going out.
One of Xero‘s stand out features is the ability to setup ‘live’ bank feeds which load your bank transactions into Xero for creating transactions in your accounts or reconciling your bank account. This automation means most most bank transactions are matched automatically, which can be a big time saver.
A single company licence allows you have as many users as you need access the system. And you control what functions each user can carry out. You can even invite your bookkeeper or accountant to access your data.
Bramley Solutions can provide you with bookkeeping support remotely in this way. Either by carrying out some or all of the bookkeeping tasks, or simply by providing telephone support to help you manage and understand your own accounts. Some of our customers raise their own customer invoices, but leave the entry of the costs, payroll and VAT returns to us. That way they can manage the cash flow into the business by getting invoices to customers at the earliest opportunity.
Other specialist functions are provided by Xero’s integration partners, through other specialist cloud add-on’s. These cover point of sale, payroll (UK), CRM, inventory & e-commerce. The Xero web site has full details.
